“….With her narrow shoulders, saucer eyes, and wavy blond hair, Goldie Hawn in her white wedding dress looks like an adorable, lost little doll—Alice in Wonderland clutching a cuisinart….

“At times Goldie Hawn may remind you of Judy Holliday, another goosey blonde who revealed surprising areas of hard calculation and shrewdness under her feathers. Yet Hawn has the sweet, babyish softness and the sensual fullness that holliday diddn’t have. In a few scenes I began to think of her as a funnier Brigitte Bardot. Goldie Hawn has mastered the essential eomedienne’s gift—transparency. There’s nothing coy or self-protecting about her. She has stopped ginning and gurgling, and in this movie she gives the best comic performance by an American woman in years.”
